An evening of good food, camaraderie and a chance to learn more about Boise’s first Center dedicated to Compassion & Insight.
This event is an opportunity to hear from a renowned teacher of compassion and insight, Anam Thubten, and for Dana Marsh to share her excitement and vision for the Compassion and Insight center with all those in attendance. This dinner and these speakers are the vanguard of a movement to bring about compassionate action in our city.

Anam Thubten grew up in Tibet and at an early age began to practice in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Among his many teachers, his most formative guides were Lama Tsurlo, Khenpo Chopel, and Lama Garwang. He is the founder and spiritual advisor of Dharmata Foundation, teaching widely in the U.S. and occasionally abroad. He is also the author of various articles and books in both the Tibetan and English language. His books in English include The Magic of Awareness and No Self, No Problem.

Dana Marsh is founder and Director of Heart of the Dharma. She is a Dharma teacher who was ordained by Anam Thubten. Dana is also a school teacher and holds a M.A. degree. She has spent 20 years teaching in the public schools with at risk youth and has taught as adjunct faculty at Boise State and CWI in the Sociology and Criminal Justice Departments.
