Please join us for appetizers and to hear about our vision for the Compassion and Insight center from a renowned teacher of compassion and insight, Anam Thubten.
Anyone who is interested in compassion and in helping others should plan to attend this awareness raising event.
Anam Thubten grew up in Tibet and at an early age began to practice in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Among his many teachers, his most formative guides were Lama Tsurlo, Khenpo Chopel, and Lama Garwang. He is the founder and spiritual advisor of Dharmata Foundation, teaching widely in the U.S. and occasionally abroad. He is also the author of various articles and books in both the Tibetan and English language. His books in English include The Magic of Awareness and No Self, No Problem.
Dana Marsh is founder and Director of Heart of the Dharma. She is a Dharma teacher who was ordained by Anam Thubten. Dana is also a school teacher and holds a M.A. degree. She has spent 20 years teaching in the public schools with at risk youth and has taught as adjunct faculty at Boise State and CWI in the Sociology and Criminal Justice Departments.
